FRIDAY NIGHT CENTRAL

Under the direction of Rodney Fike, the Good Hope Raider Band strives to be one of the best high school bands in the state of Alabama, if not in the entire Southeast. Having made great strides in recent years, this goal should be easily attainable soon.

The Raider Band program at Good Hope High School provides a comprehensive musical experience for its participants. Beginning with students from Good Hope Middle School, the Raider Band offers students the opportunity to become part of a winning team.

The band program allows the students to participate in the concert band, with performances being given throughout the area. Additionally, those who prove to have the skills participate in the Raider Marching Band. The Marching Band plays at all football games, and a majority of the basketball games, providing their own special spirit to spur their classmates on to success on the field and the court.

BOOSTERS - YOUR HELP IS NEEDED!
After a close call last year, the Good Hope Band Boosters is in danger of collapsing! For the upcoming April Officer Elections, most of the current officers will be ineligible to run for office once again. According the By-Laws, those seeking office must have attended at least half (6) of the meetings over the previous year, and be in good standing (fees paid and no embarrassing incidents); at present, and at the current pace, few people will qualify to run for the Officer positions in April. Without eligible candidates, the Band Boosters will have to dissolve.

Meetings are held every second Tuesday of the month, at 7:00pm, in the Band Room.
Lasting generally less than an hour, attending these meetings is a great way to show your support for the Good Hope Raider Band, and to qualify to run for office in April, if the need arises for you to answer that call.

So, as the old expression goes, Be there, or be square!

(we thought the nostalgia of that phrase might encourage you to attend, either that or the fact that our pleas can get cornier if you don't)
