We have developed a Forums page for you to be able to share your thoughts and opinions about the Good Hope Raider Band. Along with that, there are some Terms & Rules that must be followed in order to participate in these forums. Whether going through this page or viewing the Forums page directly, users agree to abide by the Terms & Rules listed below.
1. REGISTRATION
Users who visit the Forums are not required to register; however, without registering, visitors to that page will be considered "Guests" and will only be able to view items already posted. Registration is required in order to post items, including replies, to the Forums.
2. USERNAME
Users who choose to register so that they can post or reply to the Forums will be required to register with a Username. Users are allowed to set up their own usernames; however, usernames will be monitored with the same intensity as the posts on the Forums. Usernames which seem to convey abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-oriented, or otherwise unacceptable ideas may be banned or restricted by the Webmaster.
Usernames are required in order to permit each user some semblance of privacy in posting on the Forums. Each user is expected to respect this privacy by using the usernames of other users in posts, instead of directing comments using proper names. Whenever able, the Webmaster may edit comments to include usernames instead of proper names; if the username-proper name correlation is not known, then the Webmaster may delete posts with proper names used.
3. IMPROPER CONTENT
Posts that include improper content - including, but not limited to, content that is considered abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-oriented or in violation of Law - will either be edited or deleted by the Webmaster. Content that violates U.S. Law - including, but not limited to threats, harrassment, or content of an illegal sexual nature - may be reported to the appropriate law enforcement agencies, along with identifying information about the person who posted the comment(s).
4. USE OF CONTENT
Users, whether Guest or Registered, agree that the content contained in the Forums is meant only for these Forums. Copying posts from these Forums is strictly prohibited; if found to be doing this, users will be banned from the Forums by the Webmaster.
5. PRIVACY
GoodHopeBand.org takes great measures to protect the privacy of its users. Information gathered during the registration process will be used solely for the identification of users by the moderators. Under no circumstances will this information be sold, given or otherwise disclosed to any 3rd party, unless required by Law. Users, though, agree that GoodHopeBand.org, its owners or operators, or phpBB (the Forum page vendor) shall not be responsible for any hacking attempt that leads to this information being compromised.
6. PENALTIES
The Webmaster and moderators may restrict a user's privileges in the Forums, either through suspension or banning, for any violation, actual or suspected, of these Terms & Rules. Any suspension or ban may be appealed by writing to forums@goodhopeband.org; once the email is received, the user will be contacted to either request more information or to advise of the decision within 72 hours. Users also understand that penalties may be the result of subjective opinions of the Webmaster and moderators, and agree to abide by this fact.
